abstract: This data set contains information on Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) measures of ozone in outdoor air throughout New Jersey and by county where monitoring stations are present. Data are derived from the National Air Toxics Assessment (NATA) database maintained by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). Data are available from 2000 through the most recent year of publicly available data.
purpose: The data are intended for use in CDC's EPHT portal for displays describing ozone-related air quality across New Jersey by county. They are not intended for performing health assessments and otherwise directly relating to health data.

native_dataset_environment: The air quality indicators are created using a window XP Professional operating system environment using SAS version (9.3). The SAS code produces Microsoft Excel files including a worksheet of indicators by state.

data_completeness: The air quality data used in calculating the indicators is tested to ensure that there are 11 samples per quarter and 4 quarters per year for each area's year. If data for a county do not achieve this completeness test, then no estimate is made for the county.
